awesome: not having to go to school today. oh the joys of being a senior with no finals.
awkward: having to pick ryan up from school with wet hair & in yoga pants. oh, haiiii.

awesome: lunch with my bro. ryan really is the best. yep.

awkward: like 1/4 of the eagle high school student body being at subway.

awesome: paying for lunch with a gift card.

awkward: being in subway with wet hair & in yoga pants with 1/4 of the eagle high school student body.

awesome: watching biggest loser on my laptop.

awkward: when the stream pauses right as a fat man is jumping up into the air. 

awesome: cat jokes.

awkward: trying to retell a cat joke so that it was as funny as when you first heard it. (my conversation went something like this: "no really its so funny, and it gets better! why don't you think this is funny?!")

awesome: pinterest.

awkward: when one of your teachers starts following your pins.

speaking of pinterest.

oh, i had no idea.

finally, five inches of snow in the treasure valley last night. 

on facebook, 

my news feed was crammmmed with people talking about the snow outside. 

oh really? i had no idea. 

WE LIVE IN IDAHO FOR HEAVENS SAKES.

get over itttttt.

oh other thing that really bothers me. 

people who don't know how to drive in the snow.  

again, 

WE LIVE IN IDAHO.

if you've never driven in snow before go to a church parkinglot and figure it out!

its not fair the the rest of us who have places to go. 

you aren't helping by going 14.68 mph on a 45mph road. 

there's a difference between driving safely in snow and driving slowly in snow. 

know it.

and one last thing. 

if you drive a tiny little nissan with two wheel drive and you don't have snow tires on, 

get a ride with someone.

you're the reason there's accidents all over the place. thanks.

i feel really strongly about the whole driving-safely-in-snow-thing.

the ponies are nice and toasty, blanketed & in their stalls. 

driving to school this morning was so fun. 

we live on a windy road in the eagle foothills.

we basically slid everywhere on the road & i'm pretty sure i gave my brother ryan a heart attack.

chill bro, i'm a good driver.

finals are basically over.. now there's just government on friday& we're golden.

PROCRASTINATION.

its an epidemic, especially among the seniors that have a total of oh, two finals this week. 

it results in me finishing my english project the day before it's due whilst rocking the sock bun, the don't sweat my swag nike shirt, the yoga pants, the ipod on my country playlist, and a waterbottle full of crystal light. procrastination don't get much better than this.

finals are this week, i'm applying for housing at utah state for this fall, the horses need their feet trimmed & their spring shots, why on earth is there no snow still, i have to teach guitar today even though its my day off, i have had the same song stuck in my head for three days, i mean come on really this isn't fair, i want to go back to bed, oh good, natali is making cookies, i forgot to put mascara on, i need to go to the bank. 

i could keep going if you want.

i was just another horse crazy fourteen year old girl. i never thought signing up to groom for the tigard high school equestrian team would end me up with butter. i'd ridden before, and my family had taken care of a couple of two year old tennessee walkers for a summer, but having my very own horse wasn't something feasible to me. dreamhorse.com became my favorite website. i'd always dreamed of having a paint mare, & i found a 12 year old that had tons of show experience and was labeled as beginner friendly. she was basically perfect in every way for me. and so, butterscotch & i became a team. [our anniversary is coming up :)]  this photo was taken on jan. 25 2009, the day we bought her. its definitely my favorite memory.

i like hanging out with people. really, i do. but as of late, if it requires me to change out of my yoga pants and fix my hair, well... not a huge fan of the whole getting ready thing. which is why a picture of my night does not include a picture of the incredibly boring party i just got home from but of me being so excited to be on my way to interact with people. ugh. its this senioritis thing, i swear.
